Frequently Asked Questions:
1. Can we do our own cooking? Yes! We are one of the few camps that will allow you to do your own cooking to save money. We have everything you need to prepare good quality meals in our commercial kitchen. You just need to bring all your own food, drinks, and condiments.
2. How far in advance can we rent? We typically take reservations one year in advance. Some groups reserve up to three years in advance.
3. How is priority established among renters? Rentals are made on the basis of "first-come, first-serve" as to when deposits are received. Dates are not guaranteed until a deposit is received. Or, as an established renter renting a recurring weekend year after year priority is given once an intent to reserve is expressed.
4. How much snow can you get? The average snow storm brings 2-4 inches. Snow is possible in late November through March. A big storm may bring 6-8 inches. A "huge" storm may bring 12 inches. Snow rarely affects the prepared traveling person as the roads are nicely plowed. Chains are a good precaution but a 4x4 rarely needs them. Otherwise a front-wheel-drive vehicle with chains or cables works just fine.
